Zetex plc choses Polyflor for ESD installation
Over 1000m2 of Polyflor SD specialist electro static discharge (ESD) control vinyl tiles has been installed in clean rooms at Zetex plc of Chadderton, Oldham, a leading supplier of semiconductor based analogue solutions to companies worldwide.
Laid by John Abbott Flooring, also of Oldham, Polyflor SD provides an electrical resistance factor of 1 x 106 - 1 x 109 ohms, when tested to ESD S 7.1 and achieves DIF Class 3 RG when tested to IEC 61340-4-1. It is available in 2mm gauge in either 2m wide sheet or 608mm x 608mm tile and has the maximum Agrément wear rating of G5ws.
Providing a choice of seven attractive shades, Polyflor SD is manufactured to meet a range of international specifications. Conforming to EN 649: 1996 it has a Class 2 fire rating to BS476: Part 7. Fully tested to the proposed new prEN 13501-1, Polyflor SD is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria prEN ISO 9239-1 > 10kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of prEN ISO 11925-2 pass.
Ideal for use in telecommunications installations, computer rooms and healthcare facilities such as scanner rooms and X-ray suites, Polyflor SD features multi-colour marbling with a low lustre finish and a dense closed surface for improved soil resistance and reduced maintenance, especially in heavy traffic areas.
